Projects
Below are some of the projects I have undertaken, please have a look. Any comments or suggestions are most welcome
This project involves the development of a Finite State Machine (FSM) based impedance controller for a powered Knee-Ankle prosthetic leg using the TwinCAT framework.
I worked on this project as a research assistant at Neuromuscular Rehabilitation Engineering Lab (NREL) located at NC State University, Raleigh.

This project aimed at developing and validating a Current Controller (PI controller with disturbance compensation) for a PMDC motor in the Steer-by-Wire column positioning module and assessing the system response using Matlab and Simulink.
I got the opportunity to work on this project during my part-time internship with Nexteer Automotive.

This project involved enabling object detection using the EfficientDetLite1 framework on TensorFlow Lite and Pi camera onboard a UAV to search and identify a target during the pre-programmed flight. We also developed a wireless communication setup between the UAV and the base station using a waveshare antenna for Raspberry Pi to enable real-time sensor and GPS data transmission.

This project was aimed at controlling a 2-joint Robot Manipulator using Nonlinear approach. For this, I developed three different controllers - EMK (Exact Model Knowledge), Adaptive Controller, and Robust Controller (Sliding Mode Control). The controllers were modeled and simulated in Simulink to compare their performances in terms of stability and tracking accuracy

Throughout my undergraduate studies, I was a member of my university's BAJA SAE team. As a team of 25 students, we designed, manufactured, and tested an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) for competing in events hosted by SAE India. During my senior year, I served as the Vice-Captain of the team and also led the powertrain subsystem responsible for the design and fabrication of transmission components such as gearbox, driveshafts, and Universal Variable Joints.

Developed a system dynamics model for a wave energy harvesting buoy using Simulink. Conducted simulation of linear energy generator using ANSYS MAXWELL using outputs from the developed dynamic model

In this project, the working of PMACM has been demonstrated by designing a prototype of 3 phase permanent magnet AC motor. 3D printing was used to rapidly prototype the motor components such as the rotor and stator. A set of 6 Neodymium magnets were embedded in the rotor and a three-phase AC power supply was used to generate a rotating magnetic field in the stator coils. This project effectively demonstrated the torque induced by an alternating magnetic field on the rotor magnets and the overall challenges associated with its design.
